Directions

From the M1 Highway:
Take the Glenhove off-ramp and travel towards Rosebank.
At the intersection of Glenhove and Oxford (MacDonalds on your right), Glenhove becomes Bolton.
Carry down Bolton road until you come to the intersection of Bolton and Jan Smuts. (Goodman Gallery on you left, big nursery on your right)
Turn right into Jan Smuts Avenue. Cross one set of traffic lights.
At the next set of traffic lights, (Big white Standard Bank Building on your left), turn left into 7th Avenue.

*Carry on for about 100 metres. Nr 49A is on your right hand side, with a white palisade fence.*

From Sandton:
Travel along William Nicol, towards Randburg.
When you see Hyde Park Shopping Centre on your left, keep left. This is Jan Smuts Avenue.
Carry on straight with Jan Smuts Avenue, towards the Zoo.
At the 5th Robot you will see the Grosvenor office building on your right. At this robot, turn right, into 7th Avenue.

Follow directions between the *’s.
 
From Beyers Naude Drive:
Travel on Beyers Naude Drive. At the Westpark Cemetery, turn either right (if you are coming from Melville) or left (if you are coming from Cresta’s side), into Thomas Bowler Avenue.

Travel along Thomas Bowler, turn right at the stop street into Olifants Road. Travel along Olifants road, which goes over the Emmarentia dam.
At the robot turn left into Louw Geldenhuys. Travel down Louw Geldenhuys, and follow the road turning right, becoming Gleneagles, through Greenside.
At the big traffic circle, keep left and then turn left into Glenside.
At the yield sign, turn right into Cruden Bay.
At the stop sign, turn left into Braeside. Follow Braeside over the bridge crossing the Braamfontein spruit.
At the robot, turn right into 6th Avenue. Follow this road up to the Shell Garage, where it becomes 7th Avenue.
After becoming 7th Avenue, cross over two traffic light sets.
Approximately 100 metres after the 2nd traffic light set, nr 49A is on your left, with white palisade fencing.

On completion of your FET training, the student has the choice of exiting at this point with an Equivalent to a National Certificate, or continuing to study further towards an International Qualification on a higher level for a further 1, 2 or 3  years.

Training completed at a senior level not only qualifies the student with an International Diploma but also open doors to wonderful opportunities on Cruise liners, Spas, the cosmetic industry & more.

COLLEGE HOURS
Full time: Monday to Friday: 8.30 – 15.00    College timetable will apply
Holiday Terms according to Gauteng school holiday calendar (where possible)

COLLEGE KIT
In order to complete the required number of Case Studies, all students should have their own basic equipment.   The College has selected items of a high quality that will assist the student in offering a professional treatment at all times.  There is a kit for each year of study.

The kit includes the following:
 

Text books & Training Manuals
Waxing kit (heater and products)  
Skincare Products     
 
Professional Make up kit
Manicure/Pedicure equipment & products
Miscellaneous items, products & utensils

Students are required to provide certain items such as linen and disposables.  List available on request.

UNIFORM
Due to the nature of this profession, it is essential to be well groomed at all times.    All students are required to conform to the College rules regarding the uniform and general appearance. 
The uniform is ordered from the Colleges (priced separately)

ASSIGNMENTS
Students are required to complete a certain number of case studies in each of the treatments covered in their course, in addition to a number of assignments on a variety of topics.   This forms an integral part of the training as marks are allocated for each, and these count in the final mark awarded.

EXAMINATIONS AND ASSESSMENTS
Continuous assessment is conducted throughout the training and the final assessment is conducted on completion of a programme to establish the competency of each student.    A student may not be assessed if the required numbers of hours of attendance are incomplete, if there is work outstanding or fees unpaid.
Practical and Theory assessments are conducted in accordance with the national and international requirements.  

On successful completion of a final assessment, the student will be awarded with the appropriate qualification.
FET in Beauty Technology NQF Level 4
