Due to the years of experience in training, we at Madge Wallace must ensure that our applicants meet the minimum requirements for admission into our programmes that lead to the Madge Wallace HEQF Registered qualifications as well as meeting International requirements.
ADMISSION CRITERIA for NQF Level 5 and 6 Qualifications
- A personal interview is recommended
- NQF Level 5 qualification requires a minimum NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent
- NQF Level 6 qualification, requires a minimum NQF Level 5
- Applicants with less than the level 4 qualification, may only register for short courses or modules
- Foreign applicants are required to obtain the legal Study Permit from the appropriate South African authority
- Subjects; Biology or Science is recommended, but not essential
- RPL (recognition of prior learning) is in place at the College.
ADMISION CRITERIA for Modules or short courses
- A personal interview is recommended
- A minimum age of 16 is required
- Pre-requisites may apply in certain programmes
REGISTRATION PROCEDURE
- Arrange for a personal interview with the college principal or authorised person
- Complete the course application form and submit to the college office together with:
4 ID photos
Copy of identity document of student
Copy of identity document of person responsible for course fees
Copy of highest or relevant qualification obtained
Testimonial
Foreign student must provide proof of study permit
- Student will be notified of the outcome of the application.
- Non refundable registration fee is payable to secure a position
- Deposit is payable prior to commencement of course
REGISTRATION CONDITIONS
- Only applicants meeting the admission criteria will be accepted
- All courses are limited to a certain number of students to ensure individual attention
- Students are expected to read the course information provided by the college and confirm any changes prior to starting.
- Applicants should be aware of all course, kit and examination fees payable prior to commencement of any course.
- The College reserves the right to postpone a short course/module until a minimum of 6 students have enrolled.
- The College Policies and Procedures are in place and are to be adhered to.
- As English is the language of instruction, all students must be conversant in English.
- If a student has a pre-diagnosed medical condition, the College principal or authorised person should be made aware of such condition.
- Certain programmes offered may require specific pre-requisites.
- As part of our professional ethos, applicants may be required to provide certain documentation as proof of previous qualifications or experience.
